ADMISSION  INSTRUCTIONS – 2010–11

 

1.     Admission will commence from  12th July upto 16th July, 2010. Classes commence on 19th July, 2010. Students who are allotted Hostel will be permitted to stay in the Hostel from Saturday, 17th July, 2010 from 2.30 p.m. onwards.

 

2.     The following is the ADMISSION PROCESS :-

i.                    Purchase PROSPECTUS and collect Token Number from Lecture Hall  LH VIII (8) First Floor. Fill only Form ‘A’ and Form “A” (Reverse) from the Prospectus. Be seated in LH VIII (8)

 

ii.                  Proceed for ADMISSION to the Library on the first floor, as the token numbers are called.

 

iii.                Admission Form duly completed in all respect along with the original certificates will be scrutinized in the library.(1st Floor)

 

iv.               Counselling will be done in the Library.

  

v.                 (a)  Registration of Hostel will be done in the Library only after completion of admission formalities.

(b)  Assistance for private accommodation will be given in the Lobby.

 

3.     ADMISSION TIMINGS:-

 

             From 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.  and 2.30 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.

4.     REQUIREMENT:-

         I.    Admission Form and Declaration/Undertaking

               – marked as “A”

         II. The following Certificates in original are to be produced along               with the attested copies:

i.                    XII th Std. Mark sheet.

                             

ii.                  Proof of Age : Upper Age Limit 22years as on 1st July, 2010

                          Upper Age Limit 25 years for SC/ST as on 1st July, 2010

 

iii.                Caste Certificate for Reserved Category (issued by Tehasildar Executive Magistrate or Mamlatdar of the respective state)

 

iv.               Physically Handicapped candidates to produce copy of Physically Handicapped Certificate, issued by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Central Govt./State Govt./Municipal Corporation run Hospitals.

 v.                 O.B.C Certificate.

    5.     1st Semester Miscellaneous Charge Rs. 3,300/- to be paid at                the bank Counter  in the Lobby. Challan to be obtained from the              Institutes  Cashier.

6.……*  For those students who have been allotted hostel                                accommodation, full fees are to be paid. The total amount is                Rs.29,140/-

         *  Fees to be paid by Demand Draft in the name of “ INSTITUTE             OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT , CATERING TECHNOLOGY &             APPLIED NUTRITION” drawn on Syndicate Bank payable at             Porvorim. On the reverse of the Demand Draft write the name of             the Student and JEE Admission Number.

        *   THE SYNDICATE BANK COUNTER has been opened in the             Lobby. Students who do not have the demand draft may deposit             cash at the bank counter and a receipt will be issued for the                       same. The receipt is to be given to the Institutes cashier for              admission.

7.     The Tool Kit bag (only bag) and journals will be issued on 19th July 2010.

 

8.     AS A FACILITY TO THE STUDENTS, SUPPLIERS OF TOOL KIT AND UNIFORM WILL BE AVAILABLE IN BASIC TRAINING KITCHEN (BTK I).

 

STUDENTS MAY PURCHASE TOOLS FOR THE TOOL KIT BAG KITS AND THEIR UNIFORMS FROM ANY PERSON OF THEIR CHOICE.

THE INSTITUTE DOES NOT STAND GUARANTEE FOR THESE SUPPLIERS AND PARENTS MAY PURCHASE FROM THESE SUPPLIERS AS PER THEIR OWN DISCRETION.

 9. Classes commence on 19th July, 2010 at 10.00 a.m.

      Students to assemble at 10.00 a.m. in any of the Lecture Halls
      LH III/ IV/V
